We have a basics print package that would work best for a small family group just looking to create a book that would go to a few members. We even offer a professional start up tier that would set you up to start sharing and selling your family’s story with the world!
Please note that these prices are subject to change based on the additions and customizations needed for your individual book. Base prices are estimated off of a 300 page book. Additional pages needed will increase the price of your family history book. Book printing prices are determined separately, and on an individual basis depending on number of pages, number of copies needed, and the current market price for printing paper, and any supply chain shortages that may be in effect. Your printing assistant will help you navigate your exact needs and figure out your final price based on your project.
There are a few things you can do that will leave you best prepared when you reach out to us to get your book printed. Here are some suggested first steps to ensure your book printing process goes smoothly, and quickly.
We recommend collecting your family history into one word doc, or google doc. This will give you an idea of word count, and total number of pages. Your printing assistant will need this information to give you a better estimate of printing cost of your finished book. Please clearly title each story so we can be sure of where one story ends, and another begins.
A Note On Proofing: Unless you are choosing an editing add on package, the file you provide to us needs to have all proofing, spelling, grammar, and punctuation done to the author’s satisfaction. (that’s you!) The content provided will be placed as-is. Any spelling, or other errors are the responsibility of the author. Please make sure you have your document error free and ready for us when you reach out for printing. This will ensure your book makes it’s way to print as easily and as quickly as possible. Our standard cover features several places to feature family photos. You may have to scan photos into your computer to make them a digital format our designers will be able to use in the creation of your book cover.
There are local print shops that may be able to help you with this process.
If you are on an upgraded package that allows for internal images, please go through and name each image in accordance to which chapter/family member the image belongs to.
